As Bangkok's fine dining scene continues to evolve, few culinary events generate as much anticipation as the return of Anne-Sophie Pic. From Wednesday, June 11 to Saturday, June 14, 2026, the celebrated French chef returns to Anne-Sophie Pic at Le Normandie, bringing with her a newly created seasonal menu that reflects her ongoing dialogue with Bangkok, its iconic river, and the refined philosophy that has defined her career.

Located within Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok, the restaurant has quickly established itself as one of the city's leading dining destinations since its debut, earning two Michelin stars and the Tatler Best New Restaurant 2026 award. Now, Chef Pic's latest visit offers guests the opportunity to experience a new collection of dishes created exclusively for this occasion.

For Pic, Bangkok is more than a destination. The city's vibrant energy, the rhythm of life along the Chao Phraya River, and the warmth of the Mandarin Oriental team continue to inspire her creative process. Her return marks another chapter in the story of a restaurant that bridges the heritage of Le Normandie with her distinctly modern approach to French cuisine.

At the heart of the menu is Pic's culinary philosophy of Suffusion, an approach that focuses on layering aromas, textures, and flavors to create subtle yet deeply expressive dining experiences. The new dishes showcase seasonal ingredients interpreted through this lens, combining French craftsmanship with influences inspired by her surroundings in Thailand.

Among the highlights is La Daurade d'Akashi, featuring cured sea bream paired with sake ice cream, pink peppercorn, and fragrant Jabara citrus. La Crevette d'Amakusa presents delicately grilled shrimp accompanied by sago pearls, tonka bean broth, and wild marigold. Another standout is La Sole de Bretagne, Brittany sole roasted with cedar leaves and served alongside Thai green vegetables, pepper, and a beurre blanc infused with curry leaf.

The menu also celebrates exceptional produce from France. Les Asperges blanches de la Loire showcases Loire Valley white asparagus complemented by Madras curry and coffee sabayon, while L'Agneau de l'Aveyron highlights roasted lamb enhanced with rooibos tea, kororima spice, masterwort root, and chickpea crisp with sweetbreads. Each course reflects Pic's signature ability to balance complexity with elegance while maintaining a strong sense of place.

Chef Pic remains one of the most influential figures in contemporary gastronomy. In 2007, she earned three Michelin stars for Maison Pic, her family's legendary restaurant in Valence, France. She was named World's Best Female Chef by The World's 50 Best Restaurants in 2011 and today holds the distinction of being the female chef with the most Michelin stars worldwide. Her culinary empire spans destinations including Paris, Lausanne, Dubai, Hong Kong, Osaka, Chengdu, and now Bangkok.

The Bangkok restaurant itself occupies a unique place in Thailand's culinary history. Le Normandie has long been regarded as the country's pioneering French fine dining institution, and under Pic's leadership, it has entered a new era while preserving the legacy that has defined the restaurant since 1958. The combination of riverfront views, impeccable service, and innovative French cuisine continues to make it one of the city's most sought-after dining experiences.

With limited seating available over just four days, Anne-Sophie Pic's return offers a rare opportunity for diners to experience the work of one of the world's most acclaimed chefs. More than a guest appearance, the event serves as a celebration of culinary artistry, cultural exchange, and the enduring connection between Bangkok and one of France's most respected gastronomic voices.
