A new collaboration between Central Department Store and Rajadamnern Stadium reimagines Thai heritage as a contemporary keepsake for shoppers and global travelers

A new collaboration between Central Department Store and Rajadamnern Stadium is turning Thailand's cultural heritage into a stylish souvenir for modern travelers. Unveiled at the TWO LEGENDS, THE SPIRIT OF THAILAND event, the Central x Rajadamnern Stadium Bag blends retail heritage, Muay Thai symbolism, and contemporary design into a collectible piece that captures the country's enduring identity.

Two models pose on a lit runway holding shopping bags, wearing black Thai-logo shirts and shorts at an arena event.

Available from 1 July 2026, the special-edition tote represents a meeting of two Thai institutions that have each shaped the country's cultural landscape for nearly eight decades. While Central Department Store has long been synonymous with shopping and lifestyle experiences in Thailand, Rajadamnern Stadium remains one of the most revered homes of Muay Thai, welcoming spectators and enthusiasts from around the world.

More than just a shopping bag, the collaboration is designed as a keepsake that tells a story. The design incorporates Central Department Store's historic logo used between 1947 and 1973, paying homage to its origins and legacy, while Rajadamnern Stadium contributes the Yant Paed Tidt, the Eight-Direction Yantra traditionally associated with protection, courage, and resilience. Deeply respected within Muay Thai culture, the sacred symbol reflects values such as discipline, endurance, and determination.

Color also plays a meaningful role in the design. Central's signature red merges with Rajadamnern Stadium's blue, creating a visual dialogue between commerce and culture, tradition and modernity. The result is a tote that feels equally suited for everyday use, travel, or as a collector's item for those seeking a tangible reminder of Thailand's cultural richness.

The initiative aligns with a growing movement in Thai tourism that focuses on meaningful experiences and storytelling. According to the Tourism Authority of Thailand, today's travelers increasingly seek authentic encounters and memorable objects that embody a destination's character. The collaboration demonstrates how Thailand's soft power—from Muay Thai to retail and design—can be transformed into experiences that resonate with international visitors long after their journey ends.

Priced at THB 990, the Central x Rajadamnern Stadium Bag will be available through 31 October 2026, while supplies last. International visitors can receive the bag as a gift with qualifying purchases at participating Central stores. Thai customers can purchase the red edition from selected Central Department Store branches beginning 25 July 2026. Both red and white versions are also available at the Rajadamnern Stadium Official Store.
