An auspicious 11-dish feast ushers in the Year of the Horse with tradition, craftsmanship, and a celebratory lion dance

Bangkok knows how to celebrate Chinese New Year in style, and this February, reunion dining takes center stage at Pavilion restaurant inside Dusit Thani Bangkok. From 17–19 February 2026, families and friends are invited to gather for an auspicious feast designed to welcome the Year of the Horse with prosperity, abundance, and shared joy
Chinese New Year marks the beginning of spring on the lunar calendar, a season of renewal and hope. At Pavilion, the tradition of reunion dining unfolds through a specially curated eleven-dish set menu created for three to four guests, available for both lunch and dinner throughout the festive period.
The celebration begins with Yu Sheng, the iconic prosperity salad featuring fresh salmon. As diners toss the colorful strands high into the air, laughter fills the table, symbolizing rising fortune and growth for the year ahead.

A selection of handcrafted dim sum follows, including delicate pieces shaped like gold coins to represent wealth and success. The meal deepens with double boiled fish maw soup with dried scallops and snow mushrooms, simmered for a full day for richness and depth.
From there, the feast moves confidently into celebratory territory. Wok-fried lobster in XO sauce and steamed black grouper with homemade black bean sauce showcase refined Cantonese flavors, while braised pork belly with steamed bun and truffle brings comfort with a luxurious twist. Premium abalone with Hong Kong kale and shiitake mushrooms speaks to abundance, and rice baked with A5 Wagyu beef in a clay pot adds a final flourish of indulgence before dessert.

The meal concludes on a refreshing note with lemongrass and aloe vera jelly with mixed fruits, offering balance after the opulence of the savory courses.
On Tuesday 17 February 2026, lunch guests will also be treated to a vibrant lion and dragon dance performance, an energetic spectacle believed to usher in prosperity and good fortune for the year ahead.
The 11-dish Chinese New Year set menu is priced at THB 8,800++ per set for three to four guests, and is available from 17–19 February 2026 only. Reservations can be made by calling 02 200 9000, emailing dtbk@dusit.com, or visiting dusit.com/bangkok
