Design, art, and community stories converge along the Charoen Nakhon–Khlong San riverside during Bangkok Design Week 2026

As Bangkok Design Week 2026 unfolds across the city, ICONSIAM steps confidently into the spotlight with a thoughtfully layered program that brings design, culture, and sustainability together—while inviting visitors to quite literally get lost in order to be found.
Partnering with the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration and a wide network of creative collaborators, ICONSIAM presents a multidimensional series of exhibitions and experiences under the Bangkok Design Week theme DESIGN S/O/S: Secure Domestic / Outreach Opportunities / Sustainable Future. The program reinforces ICONSIAM’s long-standing role as a global experiential destination and creative flagship of Siam Piwat Group, known for seamlessly integrating art and culture into public and retail spaces.
At the heart of ICONSIAM’s participation is the cultural identity of the Charoen Nakhon–Khlong San district—one of Bangkok’s most historically rich riverside neighborhoods. Through design-led storytelling, exhibitions, and community-driven narratives, ICONSIAM translates local heritage into experiences that feel inclusive, accessible, and deeply relevant today.
Exploring Khlong San Through Design and Discovery

Khlong San Experience – Lost & Found: Get Lost to Be Found
Developed in collaboration with the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, this project introduces the Khlong San Cultural Wayfinding System, compiling key historical facts, notable figures, landmarks, and community stories into an intuitive, pedestrian-friendly format. Presented as an exhibition, it reframes “getting lost” as a meaningful act of exploration. Through storytelling signages, community voices, and curated walking routes, visitors are encouraged to slow down, listen, and step beyond ICONSIAM into the surrounding neighborhood. A cultural passport—collectable and stampable at key points along the route at Walkway, Level M—adds an interactive layer to the journey.

ICONCRAFT × PATTERN.ERS “CHOKE-LARB” Pop-Up Exhibition
Thai cultural heritage meets contemporary fashion in this vibrant pop-up at ICONCRAFT. Inspired by larb, a traditional Northern Thai dish rich in symbolism, four emerging northern Thai brands—KANZ BY THAITOR, {JUN}, LONGGOY, and FEEL YOUTH—present works exploring prosperity, belief systems, and cultural bonds, alongside iconic craft brand SUCHAI CRAFT. From Lanna-inspired floral forms to bold red-and-gold garments dyed with buffalo blood, the exhibition demonstrates how Thai culinary and cultural narratives continue to inspire globally relevant design.

Art, Identity, and Inclusive Voices

The Loudest Silence: Deaf Art Exhibition 2026
Celebrating diversity through artistic expression, this exhibition offers a powerful platform for deaf and hard-of-hearing artists to share their identities and lived experiences. Beyond visibility, the project aims to foster long-term sustainability by creating professional opportunities within Thailand’s broader art ecosystem.

Sign of Siam (SOS): Identity in Motion
In collaboration with leading Thai artists, this exhibition reflects on Thai identity as a living, evolving force. Featuring works by Thongchai Srisukprasert, Pathompong Buchabut, Yee Duangtip, and Wanda Jaima, the exhibition positions identity not as something fixed in the past, but as cultural energy in constant motion.

Healing, Immersion, and Everyday Art

Visitors can also experience a softer, more introspective side of design through BLOOM in Four Seasons – The Heart Blossoming Immersive Experience, a digital art journey inspired by hope and renewal, set to Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons at Attraction Hall, Level 6. Meanwhile, Flower Art Garden – Let the Year Begin in Bloom welcomes guests with floral illustrations by emerging artist Kondharat Techatraisorn, extending art into fashion, stationery, and everyday lifestyle objects at Charoen Nakhon Hall, Level M.
Beyond temporary exhibitions, ICONSIAM’s permanent art collection ranging from national masterpieces by Prof. Emeritus Preecha Thaothong to international light installations and iconic cultural sculptures continues to anchor the destination as a living cultural landmark.
Design as a Connector
ICONSIAM’s Bangkok Design Week 2026 program highlights design not just as visual expression, but as a connective tool—linking people to place, past to present, and creativity to sustainability. Visitors are encouraged to collect cultural passports and stamps from ICONSIAM and Khlong San exhibition points to enjoy tuk-tuk discount codes from MuvMi and complimentary cross-river ferry services, making exploration across venues easier and more engaging.
