From London to Paris and the French Riviera, the heritage luxury group refreshes its most storied addresses for a new season of travel

Luxury travel often leans heavily on the new. New hotels, new destinations, new experiences. But some of the most compelling journeys today are rooted in something deeper: legacy, craftsmanship, and a sense of place that has been carefully shaped over time. That’s exactly where Oetker Hotels continues to stand apart.

Founded in 1872, the family-owned group has built its reputation around a collection it calls Masterpiece Hotels, a portfolio of landmark properties across Europe, the UK, and the Caribbean. Each one carries its own identity, but all share a common thread: understated elegance, deeply personal service, and a strong connection to local culture.

For the 2026 season, the group is quietly refreshing several of its most iconic destinations, not with dramatic reinventions, but with thoughtful updates that reflect how modern travelers want to experience luxury today.

London: A New Chapter at The Lanesborough

Set at Hyde Park Corner, The Lanesborough has long been one of London’s most refined addresses, known for its Regency architecture and discreet, residential feel. This season, the hotel introduces a new iteration of The Garden Room, reimagined as a cigar and whisky lounge designed for slow, lingering evenings.

The space, currently open as a preview ahead of its full launch in July 2026, leans into warm wood tones, deep greens, and views that open toward Hyde Park. The experience is centered around one of the city’s most extensive cigar collections, alongside a carefully curated selection of whiskies, cognacs, and rums.

It’s less about spectacle and more about atmosphere, a place where time stretches, conversations deepen, and the rituals of classic European hospitality feel quietly relevant again.

Paris: Everyday Elegance at Le Bristol Paris

In Paris, Oetker Hotels continues to refine what it does best: effortless elegance. At Le Bristol Paris, the spotlight this season falls on 114 Faubourg, the hotel’s Michelin-starred brasserie that captures the spirit of modern Parisian dining.

Here, the menu draws from classic French brasserie traditions but shifts with the seasons, offering dishes designed for sharing and relaxed, unhurried meals. From Landes chicken to thoughtfully curated Sunday roasts, the experience feels both elevated and approachable.

Wine plays a central role, with tastings, winemaker dinners, and access to a cellar that ranks among the most impressive in the city. It’s a reminder that in Paris, luxury is often expressed not through excess, but through precision, quality, and time well spent.

French Riviera: The Return of Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc

Few hotels carry the mythology of Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc. Perched at the tip of Cap d’Antibes, overlooking the Mediterranean, it has long been a retreat for artists, writers, and global tastemakers.

Reopening for the season on Sunday, 20 April 2026, the hotel introduces a series of subtle yet meaningful updates. Among them is the launch of an exclusive Sunday brunch at Eden-Roc restaurant, held on select dates in late April and early May. With live cooking stations and sweeping sea views, it captures the Riviera at its most relaxed and indulgent.

Beyond dining, the property continues to deepen its commitment to sustainability through a partnership with WWF France, supporting marine conservation efforts in the Mediterranean. For guests, this translates into experiences that feel more connected to the environment, without compromising on comfort.

For those seeking even greater privacy, the hotel’s four standalone villas offer a more secluded take on Riviera living, while still granting access to the property’s legendary facilities.

A Legacy That Travels Well

What ties these destinations together isn’t just their level of luxury, but a shared philosophy. Oetker Hotels has never been about scale. Instead, it focuses on curating a small collection of properties that feel distinct, personal, and rooted in their surroundings.

That approach continues to evolve, with upcoming additions such as The Vineta Hotel and the anticipated opening of Le Mas Bellevue Saint-Tropez in 2027, further expanding the group’s footprint while staying true to its heritage.

For travelers, this means something increasingly rare: hotels that don’t just serve as places to stay, but as destinations in their own right. Whether it’s a quiet cigar lounge in London, a long lunch in Paris, or a sunlit afternoon on the Riviera, each experience feels grounded, considered, and built to last.
