From Phuket and the Maldives to Kyoto and beyond, Marriott’s Luxury Dining Series returns with world-class chefs, intimate dining experiences, and destination-led storytelling

Some meals stay with you long after the final course has been cleared. Not because of a single dish, but because of the people around the table, the conversations shared between bites, and the feeling of being fully present in a place and moment.
That idea sits at the heart of Marriott International’s Luxury Dining Series 2026, which returns for its third edition with a more intimate and experience-driven approach to luxury dining across Asia Pacific.
This year’s theme, Across the Table, moves beyond traditional fine dining to focus on connection through food. The series invites guests into experiences where chefs become storytellers, dishes arrive with a sense of place and provenance, and meals unfold slowly through conversation, culture, and shared discovery.

Set across some of Marriott International’s most distinctive luxury destinations, the 2026 edition brings together acclaimed culinary talent and immersive settings that range from tropical island resorts to refined city retreats and even a luxury yacht journey through Japan.
The series begins in Vietnam from Tuesday, 5 August to Saturday, 9 August 2026 at JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay Resort & Spa before moving to Thailand from Tuesday, 12 August to Saturday, 16 August 2026 at The Naka Island, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Phuket.

From there, the culinary journey continues to The St. Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort from Monday, 25 August to Sunday, 30 August 2026, followed by Mandapa, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve from Tuesday, 9 September to Saturday, 13 September 2026.
Japan hosts the final two chapters of the series, beginning with The Ritz-Carlton, Kyoto from Wednesday, 23 September to Sunday, 27 September 2026, before concluding aboard Luminara, The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection from Friday, 9 October to Sunday, 18 October 2026.

A major part of this year’s concept is the idea that the destination itself becomes part of the dining experience. Marriott International will also introduce exclusive stay packages available only in conjunction with the series. These curated experiences combine signature dining events with luxury accommodations, encouraging travelers to spend more time exploring each destination beyond the restaurant table.

Rather than focusing solely on elaborate menus or chef collaborations, Across the Table leans into the emotional side of dining—the warmth of hospitality, the pleasure of sharing plates, and the cultural exchange that naturally unfolds over a meal. The series aims to create experiences that feel personal rather than performative, where guests can engage directly with chefs, local ingredients, and the surrounding destination.
As luxury travel continues to evolve toward more meaningful and immersive experiences, Marriott International’s Luxury Dining Series reflects a growing appetite for journeys centered around culture, storytelling, and human connection. In this case, all of it begins with taking a seat at the table.
