PYONG Rehabilitation Group’s new Bangkok center takes wellness beyond the annual checkup, combining health data, recovery and cognitive performance to support healthier aging

For many modern professionals, wellness is no longer simply about avoiding illness. The conversation is increasingly about how well we function: whether we have enough energy for demanding days, recover properly, remain mentally sharp and maintain physical independence as we get older.

That is the thinking behind Proactive Longevity & Human Performance Lab, a new center from PYONG Rehabilitation Group opening in October 2026 at Gaysorn Tower in Bangkok’s Ratchaprasong district. Led by rehabilitation medicine specialist Dr. Kantapong Thongrong, or Dr. Pyong, the center combines diagnostics, longevity science, rehabilitation and performance medicine within a personalized health program.

From Sick Care to Proactive Wellness

At the center of the concept is what PYONG calls “health data driven prehabilitation.” Rather than waiting for pain, declining performance or other concerns to appear, assessments are used to identify potential limitations and changes earlier.

Testing looks across cardiovascular, pulmonary and metabolic health, mitochondrial function and physical performance, alongside markers associated with biological aging and genetics. The information is then used to develop a personalized “Longevity Blueprint” based on the individual’s health profile and goals.

It reflects a wider change in how busy people think about their health. A yearly checkup may tell you whether standard measurements fall within expected ranges, but the newer wellness conversation increasingly asks a different question: how well is your body actually performing?

Body, Brain, Recovery and Longevity

PYONG organizes its approach around four areas. Bio-Analytics & Exploration uses assessments including cardiopulmonary exercise testing, or CPET, to examine how the body performs. Regenerative Therapeutics focuses on tissue health and recovery, including physician-supervised intravenous therapies tailored to clinical needs.

Biophysical & Autonomic Optimization includes technologies such as hyperbaric oxygen therapy at 2 ATA and approaches to tissue and fascial recovery. Neurowellness & Cognitive Performance shifts attention to the brain, with a focus on cognitive resilience and maintaining the capacity for decision-making and sustained performance.

The emphasis on cognitive health is particularly relevant to the audience PYONG is targeting: executives, entrepreneurs and high-performing professionals for whom concentration, decision-making and managing stress can matter as much as physical fitness.

When the Wellness Club Becomes a Health Club

The center is also introducing PYONG Proactive Longevity Society, which takes the idea beyond appointments and treatments.

Designed as a private “third space,” it includes a Proactive Lounge where members can work, relax and socialize while accessing selected wellness and recovery services.

Monthly and annual memberships are planned, alongside private gatherings combining health, lifestyle and business. It is an interesting evolution of the traditional wellness club. Instead of separating work, social life, medical care and recovery into different places, the concept brings them together, perhaps reflecting how health is becoming more integrated into everyday lifestyles.

The Proactive Longevity & Human Performance Lab officially opens in October 2026 as part of PYONG Rehabilitation Group’s more than 1,000-square-meter health and rehabilitation ecosystem at Gaysorn Village.

For modern city dwellers, the appeal of longevity may ultimately be less about adding years for the sake of a bigger number. The more immediate goal is making those years work better, with a body that can keep moving, a brain that stays sharp and enough energy left for life beyond work.
