'The Tiger Who Came to Tea Returns to Bangkok for Four Days of West End Magic

Bangkok families can once again welcome a very special guest as The Tiger Who Came to Tea returns to the city for a limited four-day run from 5-8 March 2026 at M Theatre on New Phetchaburi Road. Presented by Bangkok Theatre Project, the beloved West End musical is adapted and directed by David Wood, based on the classic children’s book by Judith Kerr.

Direct from the West End and previously nominated for an Olivier Award, the production has toured the UK and Asia, including China, Singapore, and Hong Kong. Now back in Thailand for its second season, the show offers Bangkok audiences the rare chance to experience a professional touring cast performing a world-class family musical right here in the city.

The story begins when the doorbell rings just as Sophie and her mum sit down for tea. In walks an unexpected visitor: a big, stripy tiger. What follows is 55 minutes of sing-along songs, playful chaos, and bright storytelling designed to charm children and keep adults smiling. With no interval and a running time of approximately 55 minutes, the show is recommended for ages 3 and older, making it an ideal first theater experience. Its clear narrative and visual humor also make it easy to follow for English language learners.
