As luxury travelers increasingly seek meaningful experiences rather than simply beautiful destinations, Marriott International is betting on one timeless ritual: gathering around the table.

Launching from August through October 2026, the third edition of the Luxury Dining Series by Marriott International's Luxury Group returns with a renewed focus on connection, storytelling, and cultural discovery. Under this year's theme, "Across the Table," the series unfolds across some of Asia's most celebrated destinations, offering guests an opportunity to experience places not only through sightseeing, but through shared meals, local traditions, and conversations with world-class culinary talents.

Spanning five destinations—from the tropical shores of Vietnam and Thailand to the serene landscapes of Kyoto and Bali, before culminating aboard The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection—the series reflects a broader shift in luxury travel. Today's travelers are no longer content with simply dining at acclaimed restaurants; they want to understand the origins of ingredients, meet the people behind the dishes, and leave with a deeper connection to the destination itself.

Marriott Reimagines Luxury Dining as Cultural Exchange

According to Marriott's Luxury Group, this year's experiences are designed to highlight the emotional side of dining, where flavors become vessels for memory and meals serve as catalysts for human connection. Rather than conventional chef collaborations, many events place chefs directly alongside guests, sharing personal stories, culinary traditions, and insights into their craft.

Signature formats include intimate "Chefs [At The] Table" dinners, immersive "Grand Banquet" experiences staged at culturally significant locations, and "Journey to Exceptional Taste" programs featuring masterclasses, guided tours, and hands-on workshops.

One of the most anticipated stops takes place at The Naka Island, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Phuket, from 12 to 15 August . Set on the secluded island of Naka Yai, the program celebrates Southern Thailand's culinary identity through a series of chef collaborations and cultural experiences.

Highlights include an eight-hands culinary journey featuring Chef Duangporn "Bo" Songvisava and Chef Laongdao "Aong" Tohkhot, alongside an omakase and craft brew experience led by Chef Agustin Balbi and Chef Joseph Talbot. Beyond the dining table, guests can participate in artisan gin blending sessions, natural dye workshops with local communities, and curated lunches showcasing regional ingredients paired with Phuket craft spirits.

Rediscovering the Joy of Gathering

Whether through intimate chef-led dinners, hands-on workshops, or celebratory banquets set against extraordinary backdrops, "Across the Table" transforms dining into a journey of discovery, inviting guests to slow down and savor not only what is served, but also the stories shared along the way.
