Thailand’s premier women’s charity polo tournament blends sport, society, and heartfelt support for breast cancer patients

Sunshine, sport, and a sea of pink set the tone as the 17th Queen’s Cup Pink Polo 2026 concluded on Saturday 28-02-26 at the Thai Polo & Equestrian Club. Held in competition for the Royal Trophy graciously bestowed by Queen Sirikit, the international women’s charity polo tournament once again proved that elegance and empathy can ride side by side.
Organized by B.Grimm and led by Harald Link, Chairman of B.Grimm and President of the Thailand Equestrian Federation under Royal Patronage, together with Nunthinee Tanner, Vice President of the Federation and Chairwoman of the tournament, the event welcomed women’s polo teams from Thailand, Singapore, and South Korea.
This year’s final delivered a thrilling face-off between host team Thailand and South Korea. Cheered on by an enthusiastic crowd, the Thai team claimed victory and proudly received the Royal Trophy in a celebratory moment that blended sporting triumph with social purpose.
Pink Polo was founded as a women’s charity polo event with a clear objective: to raise funds for underprivileged breast cancer patients under the care of the Queen Sirikit Centre for Breast Cancer. Guided by its mission of Prevention, Treatment, and Care, the Centre provides comprehensive medical support while promoting awareness and encouraging Thai women to prioritize early screening.
Nunthinee Tanner, Thailand’s first female polo player and the driving force behind the tournament, underscored the event’s dual mission. Pink Polo not only raises vital funds but also promotes women’s polo in Thailand, inspiring a new generation of female athletes to pursue the sport and compete internationally. Over 17 years, it has grown into a meaningful social initiative that continues to receive strong public support.
Dr. Kris Chatamra, Founder and Chairman of the Queen Sirikit Centre for Breast Cancer Foundation, highlighted more than two decades of dedicated work under the royal initiative of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother. The Centre’s initiatives span medical equipment procurement, the Cellular Immunotherapy Project, international conferences to advance treatment, nationwide awareness campaigns, and community outreach programs offering breast and cervical cancer screening in underserved areas. The Pink Park Village residential project further supports long-term care and rehabilitation, improving quality of life for women across Thailand.

Adding youthful energy to the weekend was the inaugural B.Grimm Pink Cup CSIY-B Pattaya 2026, an international youth show jumping competition attracting riders from 11 countries, reflecting Thailand’s growing status as a regional equestrian hub.
Off the field, the atmosphere felt closer to a garden party than a tournament. Guests explored sponsor activations and interactive booths, while a spirited South Korean cheerleading squad injected vibrant color and rhythm into the afternoon. A parade of classic cars elegantly escorted both teams onto the field, followed by the signature Horseback Fashion Show led by Nunthinee Tanner and honorary models riding alongside her.
One of polo’s most beloved traditions, the Stomping of Divots, once again invited spectators onto the pitch at halftime. Families, friends, and longtime supporters stepped onto the grass to smooth the turf, turning maintenance into merriment and reinforcing the communal spirit of the day.

The festivities concluded with the Best Dress and Best Hat Awards, celebrating sartorial flair that matched the event’s refined yet joyful tone.
Now in its 17th year, the Queen’s Cup Pink Polo stands as one of Thailand’s most anticipated women’s charity sporting events. It is where world-class equestrian sport meets gracious social engagement, and where every cheer, every chukka, and every shade of pink contributes to a cause that uplifts and empowers women nationwide.
