A one-night wine dinner at The Naka Island, Phuket pairs a five-course menu with Sicilian wines from Feudo Maccari

Titled Sicily’s Finest – A Wine and Culinary Journey, the event is scheduled for Saturday, 28 March 2026 at Rum Chapel, the resort’s beachside restaurant. The dinner centers on wines from Feudo Maccari, a Sicily-based estate founded by Antonio Moretti, known for working with native grape varieties shaped by the island’s volcanic terrain and coastal climate.

The menu leans on seafood and premium meats, with dishes such as king fish carpaccio, Phuket lobster medallions, black grouper, and Australian wagyu beef, finishing with a Chumphon chocolate entremet. Each course is paired with a selection from the winery’s portfolio, including Olli Grillo and Nero d’Avola, aiming to highlight contrasts between lighter, citrus-driven whites and fuller-bodied reds.
Set against the backdrop of the Andaman Sea, the dinner takes place after sunset, with Rum Chapel offering a relatively intimate setting compared to larger hotel venues in Phuket. Seats are limited, and the format suggests a guided pairing experience rather than a free-flow event.
