One of Thailand’s most beloved classical music traditions returns in early 2026

One of Thailand’s most beloved classical music traditions returns in early 2026 as Concert in the Park marks its 33rd edition, continuing its long-standing mission of bringing live orchestral music to the public in an open, welcoming setting. Held at the Bhirombhakdi Pavilion in Lumpini Park, the festival once again invites audiences to enjoy high-quality performances free of charge, surrounded by greenery in the heart of Bangkok.
Concert in the Park was created as a cultural initiative to make live music accessible to everyone. By staging performances in public parks such as Lumpini Park and Somdet Ya Park, the festival transforms weekends into shared musical experiences, where families, friends, and music lovers can gather casually without barriers or formality.

The festival is organized by the Royal Bangkok Symphony Orchestra Foundation under the Royal Patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya, in collaboration with the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration. Longtime support from Boon Rawd Brewery Co., Ltd. and B.Grimm Group has played a key role in sustaining the festival over the years, allowing it to remain a consistent presence on Bangkok’s cultural calendar.
First launched in 1993, Concert in the Park has been held continuously for more than three decades. Over time, it has become widely recognized as an important cultural project that enriches urban life, encourages musical appreciation, and draws audiences from across Thailand as well as international visitors.
In 2026, Concert in the Park No. 33 will be held exclusively at the Bhirombhakdi Pavilion in Lumpini Park. The season will comprise eight performances, taking place every Sunday at 5.30 PM, from 11 January through 11 March 2026.
The opening concert on Sunday 11 January featured the Royal Bangkok Symphony Orchestra conducted by Dr. Vanich Potavanich. The programme will include a varied repertoire, with special guest artists Saran Khunbanpot and Chattaraa joining the orchestra. Dr. Apichart Intrawisit will serve as Master of Ceremonies, guiding the audience through the evening’s performance.
With its relaxed atmosphere, natural surroundings, and consistently strong musical programming, Concert in the Park continues to offer a rare opportunity to experience live classical music as part of everyday city life. The public is warmly invited to be part of this enduring cultural tradition and to share in moments of music, calm, and connection in Lumpini Park.
